Opened on the weekend, Willing Coffee in the storefront of the new apartments in Terrace Road, is a small attractive coffee shop serving excellent coffee, with cakes and slices and granola to ease the hunger pangs. They will soon be also serving up simple dishes of the like of ham and cheese croissants, eggs, cheese and cold cuts of meat.
The “regular’ coffee is from Gordon Street coffee roasters, Mano a Mano– and quite divine it is too – creamy, nutty, aromatic. As well they will have a batch of the week from Everyday Coffee in Melbourne – on pour at the moment is their Ndundu PB Filter – a Kenyan sourced bean which has a fragrant bouquet of apples and stone fruit – smooth, syrupy finish – superb and best taken black.
Willing Coffee is a very inviting spot, well designed, open from 6.30 to 4.00 making it a little different from other coffee shops in Guildford, and with a talented barista serving outstanding coffee. And excitingly they have applied for a small bar licence –and it will be a very small bar at that – so I wait with great anticipation for that – we live almost 100 metres away….perfect.
