The Night Noodle Market kicked off on Wednesday night at Elizabeth Quay, and we were lucky enough to be invited for the official launch. More than 20 stall holders will be on hand nightly until 2 April as part of Good Food Month selling their many wares.
At the launch we were treated to a selection of the dishes to be offered over the coming weeks in the convivial surrounds of the MenuLog section of the markets, and later retired to a bar area for drinks courtesy of Little Creatures and Brands Laira.
Each night Elizabeth Quay will be transformed into a Hawker style market, with bands, bars and more to captivate the crowd – and of course wonderful food.
A full list of the stalls is available on the Good Food Month website, but some that caught our eyes, and appetites, were Bao Stop, Gelato Messina, Hoy Pinoy, Low Key Chow House, Adelphi Grill, Spanthai, Taiwan Noodle House, Sambal Kampung, Miss Chow and Waffleland.
Many of the stalls offer a service where foodies can gather at the MenuLog seating area, order your food and have it delivered to the table – good way of avoiding the queues!
It was an enjoyable evening, especially as the rain which had set in earlier lifted, and a warm pleasant night ensued. And looking at the week ahead all points to more perfect nights on the river foreshore.
