And another little café open up in Midland – this time in the increasingly interesting strip along the Crescent.
Parisian Rose designates itself “interiors and café” and sells a small range of home décor items as well as a great range of different teas to take away. They serve Silvana coffee, cakes and light meals to boot.
We dropped past earlier this week and ordered an espresso for me, while Lady FWO opted for a pot of French Earl Grey tea – and a cronut to ease the hunger pangs.
My coffee was smooth, with a lovely bitterness and aroma – served in a small glass it was very good, indeed.
The tea – Earl Grey infused with a variety of flowers – rose petals, hibiscus, sunflowers – was intensely aromatic with the usual bergamot flavours and nose a little muted by the added floral touches – but delicious, none the same. Served in a pretty little pot sitting on top of the cup, Lady FWO found it delightful.
Our cronut – flaky pastry filled with crème patisserie with icing sugar on top – added to our enjoyment of our short visit to this new and certain to be successful little shop.
Friendly owners, lovely fit out, great tea and coffee, and cronuts! We liked it a lot.
