Maison Saint-Honore is the only macaron factory in WA that is open to the public – set in picturesque grounds alongside Swan Valley winery, Pinelli Estate, this is the brainchild of Lui-van-Sheng, and is a must visit if you have a sweet tooth.
With an appealing outdoor play area for children, it is a family friendly place; the number of mothers and small children when we were there is an obvious testament to its attraction as a place to take the kids.
Inside the factory and shop are to one side – with the counter a mouth-watering display of macarons and other cakey treats – and through to the café where you can order coffee and tea and a range of scrumptious cakes, pastries, croissants and of course macarons – as well as a number of savoury dishes if you are that way inclined.
On our recent visit – as part of the Swan Valley Sweet Temptations Trail – we were very impressed by the quality of the sweet and savoury treats as well as the coffee – certainly a place to visit for such delights. Maison Saint- Honore is very popular for morning and afternoon tea –and their take-away macarons do a roaring trade if our observations are anything to go by.
As I said it is part of the delightful Sweet Temptations Trail which is well worth a try – this 14 kilometre self-drive trail takes you through a number of Swan Valley attractions. But in any case Maison Saint-Honore is worth a visit in its own right.
